This office issues visas only to legal residents of Alaska, California (except the following counties, which are under the jurisdiction of the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles: Imperial Valley, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo) Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, American Territories of Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Caroline Islands, Yap, Marianna Islands. 

ALL applicants must apply in person during the hours to the public listed above (except for those applying for Mission Visas and for students applying through Universities and student exchange services). To avoid having to pick up in person, all applicants may choose to supply a self-addressed pre-paid Express Mail envelope from the US Postal Service only (no Fed-Ex nor UPS please) for the return of their passport.

As an alternative, all applicants may apply at one of the Honorary Vice Consulates and Honorary Consular Agencies operating in our consular district. To find their addresses go to our Home Page and click on “consular network”. 

Appointments are neither required nor given.

FEES

Visa fees are adjusted quarterly to reflect the exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Euro. Current fees are $82.80 for stays up to 90 days (except for citizens of: Ukraine, Russian Federation, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and Moldavia for whom the fee is $48.30, and $103.50 for stays over 90 days (no exceptions).
Visa Fees are valid from 10/01/2009 to 31/12/2009.
Payments are accepted by money order or cashier’s check only, made out to “Consulate General of Italy”.
